Gary Brabin says there is a sense of anticipation ahead of another big game on Tuesday when Rovers travel to Wrexham in the National League.

Rovers come into the game off the back of a good run of recent form and the manager is looking for his players to take that confident mood to the game in North Wales.

He said, "We are really looking forward to this game. It's pleasing when you get the result and performance like we did on Saturday. We're coming up against another tough opponent on Tuesday and it's one that the players are looking forward to.

"We try to approach the game in the same manner. We realise it is going to be another tough one for us. We're on the crest of a wave in terms of confidence after Saturday's performance but we realise it's going to be a different game to that but one the lads will be going in to full of confidence.

"There's no disputing how big a game it is. We have a few ex-Wrexham players here as well so I'm sure there's enough spice there to make it that extra bit special. But we're trying to look at is as just another game. We want to go there, show what we're about and hopefully get the right result."

Tranmere will have Steven Jennings and James Norwood available once more after serving suspensions and the manager says it's a positive thing to have such selection problems.

He said, "We don't have a massive squad but we want it to be healthy and competitive and that's certainly the case. When you look around to the bench and you have got players on form there is good.

"We've got those extra numbers on the top of a fantastic performance and result on Saturday which can only be a real plus.

"Jennings and Norwood are two big players for us. They're back and it is a selection problem on the back of a good performance on Saturday and a great win."
