If you were Chairman/Manager . . .

How would everyone on here spend the FA Cup money if you were the Chairman/Manager?

Admit it, we'd all love their jobs! This thread is meant as a bit of fun only.

Here's my view:

a) Make Andy Ford full time. He could then sign a player based on

seeing him 5 or 6 times rather than once or twice. PASE lads could

receive additional coaching.

B) Sign Paul Gibbs on a permanent basis - A quality left back. Also

enquire about Anthony Riviere and Alan Tait. 2 top class Kent

based players whose contracts are up at the end of the season.

Their Clubs would probably accept a nominal fee.

c) Discuss terms with John Brady (released by Chester - wants to

play for a Southern based part-time team).

d) Make a bold attempt to sign Lee Boylan if Folkestone don't want to

let Alan Tait go.

Reckon you can do better? grin.gif

I would rather the club spent 7.5k on alan tait then spend nothing on transfer fees yet pay the equiv.in higher wages to a 30 something ex pro who is on the decline and has no sell on value. U have to invest at all levels to improve. Some wont come off, but some will and those thatdo will generate the club further revenues from futures sell on clauses.

Having seen Tait a few times I dont realy think he s Conference quality , would like to see him have a go for free but not at a price ,We ve been stung before paying a fee for forwards , Newbury being a prime example. Also i thought Riviere turned us down to stay at Welling because they were going to challenge for the Southern League this year!

Dear Santa,

I have been a good boy, please can I have a centre forward for christmas.

I don't care who we get or where he has or hasn't looked good before. I don't care what nationality or colour he is and I don't care who he might or might not have upset. I would prefer someone who will stay longer than the end of the season but will accept that he might not be willing to commit to that.

All I want is some b*st*rd to stick the ball in the back of the net once a week.
