A host of soap stars and celebrities are taking on Radcliffe Borough's all conquering EVO-STIK Northern Premier League champions from 1996 on Sunday.

Emmerdale actor Danny Millar is leading out a TV All Stars XI in a charity match at The Belvoir Stadium with Simon Whittle, who captained Boro to the title and promotion, returning to skipper a Legends XI which is set to include fans' favourites Ian Lunt and Jody Banim.

Kicking off at 2pm, officials at the First Division North club are hoping the event will be a magnet for supporters and autograph hunters alike as well as offering a great afternoon of family entertainment.

Other footballing celebrities confirmed as playing include Ralph Little from the Royle Family, Emmerdale's Anthony Quinlan, Ray Thomas and Alan Halsall from Coronation Street and Will Rush from Waterloo Road.

After the line-ups were confirmed on Friday, a club spokesman said: "This promises to be a ‘mouth-watering’ game and we're hoping people will get themselves along on Sunday to enjoy the occasion and an unmissable chance to see many of their favourite TV and Radcliffe Borough stars in action."

Tickets for match are priced at £3 for adults and £1 for kids.
