FF News
Simon Johnson has left Maidstone United by mutual consent to go in search of regular first team football. The 24-year-old midfielder signed for the Stones over the summer following six years with Eastbourne Borough. After picking up an injury during pre-season, he found first team opportunities limited when the league campaign began. Stones boss Jay Saunders said: “Jonno’s a great lad who wants to be playing regular football and I just can’t guarantee that. It’s a shame it didn’t work out for him here but you look at the performances from Joe Healy and the emergence of Jack Paxman in midfield – they’re earning the shirt week in, week out at the moment.” Source: http://www.maidstoneunited.co.uk/ Source
