thevoiceofreason Posted October 30, 2015 Share Posted October 30, 2015 For those whose teams are facing Sussex opposition in the Vase tomorrow...Can't say too much about Worthing United, as I've only seen them in the unique setting of their first game after the Shoreham air tragedy, so with a full house and an understandably different atmosphere, their last gasp win against East Preston wasn't something to judge them by. Eastbourne Town? Probably fancy themselves for a good run in the competition and Kenny Pogue knows where the net is, for sure. Camberley, well... playing the black sheep of the Sussex family in Lancing. Based at the County FA HQ, they played there opening two months of fixtures away whilst their new...ahem...pitch was being installed and won them. Other teams feel Lancing were given too many favours by their landlords and are rather bitter about it in some quarters. Trust me, the league doesn't need extra spice added to it, most games are feisty enough as it is! ( I saw a player BOOKED for a head butt last weekend...) Rother Posted October 31, 2015 Share Posted October 31, 2015 Windsor 3-2 Croydon Windsor 2-0 down and looking very out of sorts with nothing much working then suddenly it all changed and for the last 20 minutes we pummelled Croydon. Barry Dunbar slotted one in from 6 yards out, Riaz smashed home a shot from the edge of the area so back to 2-2 with 10 minutes, we left then had a penalty saved with a couple of minutes left, but up popped Dunbar with his 2nd goal of the game (3rd brace in 4 games) well into added time to complete a great comeback. aupostie Posted October 31, 2015 Share Posted October 31, 2015 Dorking 3 Ash Utd 1 Another defeat First half entertaining game, with both sides having plenty of good chances to score & not much between the sides apart from dorking's goal which was a very poor goal to concede by ash within the first ten minutes Second half Dorking dominated but against the run of play Ash level(fortunately linesman wasn't up with play).
