Ash utd 2 Dorking wanderers res 1

Three valuable points

Played on a poor pitch & weather conditions both sides tried thier best to play some football

Dorking wanderers had the wind behind them in the first half but only managed to scored the one goal.

With the wind behind them ash drew level midway into the second half. Then soon after got what was to be the winner when the keeper fumbled a shot, in his attempt to save it going over the line continued to slid due the surface & goal given, but he couldn't accept it & within seconds he was walking off the pitch as he was sent off for over the top abusive language to the assistant. Ash held on to gain the win

Eversley & California look a really good outfit this season, they will be contending the title come the end of the season!!

So they should be, I'm sure they have a few ccl prem players from previous seasons!

Spelly 2-1 Wood - Report here - http://wibbandune.simplesite.com/417806039

Thankfully, I did the report this morning and not last night.

It did help that I spoke to the SCR v Badshot Lea referee (nice chap) and one assistant on my way home whose comments helped to calm me down a bit.

I am currently a very frustrated football fan. The assessor, referee and assistant's comments post match could not assuage the wrath of our travelling troupe in any shape of form. If I say anything else, I will cop a ban!

FA Sunday Cup at Wibbandune today. 2pm KO -  FC Morden v AFC Links. All welcome.

From another website

Combined Counties League - Division 1
Sheerwater 3 - 1 Epsom Athletic
Admission: £4.00; Programme: £1.00 (32pp)
Tea:£1.00; Att; 20

Considering the lowly positions of both teams, this wasn't too bad a game to watch.

The visitors were technically better but toothless up front, while Sheerwater were resilient and scored the goal of the match in the 74th minute - a 20 yards effort, from Shane Rideout, that looped over the keeper and went in just under the crossbar.

There was heavy rain during 75 minutes of this game and I wasn't the only one in the small crowd who thought an abandonment was a real possibility.

Interesting article in the programme about the new ground for the club. New Vision Homes submitted a planning application to Woking Borough Council on 13th November, which includes a leisure centre at the Bishop David Brown School (a 5 minutes' walk from the Sheerwater Recreation Ground) where a new athletics and football facility are planned to be built.

Here is the report from our 1-1 draw at Knaphill.

http://www.eefconline.co.uk/Fix2015.16-24.html

I thought we were significantly the better side this day, but we threw in a poor fifteen minutes midway through the second half and conceded the equaliser. We pushed again afterwards, but it was too late.

We need to play for the full ninety tomorrow at Hartley Wintney, weather permitting.

I thought you were the better team 1st half as we did not deal with the wind and conditions very well but we shaded the 2nd half as we had those weather conditions in our favour.

The Epsom goal came from a ricochet off our keepers clearance from 30 yds out. We were certainly not at our best and based on your league position, nor were you.

A draw a fair result in my opinion.

You would until you take off those rose tinted glasses :)
