BBC weather warning for tonight (Tuesday)

Could cause postponements

West to southwesterly gales and locally severe gales are likely to sweep eastwards across the area on Tuesday evening. Widespread inland lowland gusts of 50-60 mph are likely, with isolated 70 mph. Over exposed hills, coasts and headlands, such as on coasts of west Wales, winds may gusts over 80 mph. Large waves will be an additional hazard along coasts. The winds should quickly ease across western parts later on Tuesday evening and across eastern parts shortly after midnight.

The public should be aware of the risk of disruption to travel and that gusts of this strength could bring down trees and lead to some damage to weakened structures.

It is a shame that so many fixtures are affected by the poor weather we are suffering in the UK at the moment. It is only going to clog up the fixture lists in the coming months.

With regards to epsom athletic and someone who has watched and followed them over last few season,we are not in free fall as commented earlier. The squad and managment changed during mid season last year so there was lots of new players coming and going, which became settled at the beginning of this season.we started off very strong with some good results however due to 4/5 injurys to key players young players have had to be drafted in (to many to soon). The top scorer became unsettled when other clubs in our league were throwing £60/70 aweek at him making him believe he was something he really wasn't. Players should be returning from injury in next few weeks and I personally believe we will be more than strong enough to start picking up points again.I was at tonight's game against cobham and 1st 45 min was quite painful to watch but I believe cobham can do that to a few more teams in our division .

Ashford Town 3 AFC Hayes 2

My first visit to the club in a couple of years and i enjoyed it Ashford played the better football and had more chances to score and they deserved the win against a struggling Hayes team whos best players for me were J.Berry and S.McDonnell. Ashford look like a team that can score goals from all over the pitch and if they can keep this bunch of players together untill the end of this season the only way is up for them i think. I thought A.Fisher looked very good in the first half for Ashford and M.Bitmead, M.Webb and S.Kazi all played well. Ashford are a much better team than when i last saw them play a couple of years ago. Ben Murray has put together a good squad of players.

Also i have to say that Ashford Towns pitch is the best i have ever seen it a superb playing surface not a puddle or a bit of mud in sight. Well done Ashford Town FC on all fronts.

What, a trip to the unbeaten leaders, tough? You'll be telling me next that World peace is going to be a little tricky :)

As it turned out it was a cracking game and I think a lot of our players are secretly disappointed that we didn't win it. Possession was even but we certainly had more of the good chances although at 3-1 down I thought our chance had gone. Their keeper was brilliant.
