Surely when a club is continually being suspended from the league those in charge must take some kind of action against this club in order to retain the credibility of the league? Points deduction perhaps or maybe even a fine?

[yes, it is easy to make comments which elicit anger
from the other side. People in glass houses...]

One would assume so.

But EFC are dealing with the Ryman League and Mr Robinson by reputation would not allow any club to over step the mark

So what is you point

i was trying to ascertain why Gonzo was stirring it. But after looking at the ESL site I see it was your message that got it going. You ask me what was my point. Mine would be what was yours. I have no problem with what ETFC are doing although I am EFC and I believe that we should get along not keep stirring things up

Thank you suffolkwilk for your voice of reason. In many previous posts I have always wished EFC (minus Lazarou) good luck. A fan run club will always get my vote. Enfield 37 is just trying to stir things up and making a total prat of himself in the process.

Certainly childish, but I think I've made my point.

Good luck and a Merry Christmas to all at EFC!

Mr Benson was a friend/relative of a footballer who played for EFC a couple of seasons ago.

He was a prolific poster on this forum...proclaiming undying loyalty to the club...he had veiws on everything and started giving his opinions to fans of 30-40 years standing.

I challenged him, that he was just another 'jonny-come-lately',and once his friend/relative moved to another club,he would dissapear into the night.

And thats what he did. <img src="/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />

I've watched EFC over 1000 times and many ETFC posters have even more EFC games under their belts...So we feel we have reason to contribute to the EFC forum.

are you into double figures yet 'Enfield 37. <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I wonder how many young supporters ETFC have, or how many of their '100s' of fans are actually Brimsdown Rovers supporters who only watch because ETFC play at their ground, and they are in the clubhouse on a Saturday. The youngsters who support ETFC should be told that until they are into their 50s and 60s, they are not allowed an opinion on anything, according to Lovely Stuff.

Are people who only actively support EFC as long as they have friends/relatives in the team any worse then the ETFC supporters who spout on about LOYALTY to EFC. Its no good whinging on about Lazarou etc being the reason they walked away, because if they were true supporters they would stay during the good and bad times, and any TRUE supporters who could not do that, now have no reason to not go back.

Lovely Stuff, who do you watch play on a Saturday? If its EFC then I can't see what your problem is, if its ETFC then friends/relatives of even our latest signings have more right to talk about EFC then you have.

It seesm to me that the sentiment here goes to the heart of the issue. Many ex EFC fans, including myself, had ceased watching the team long before ETFC was even a pipe dream. Despite much heart wrenching, I decided that to continue to hand money over to Lazarou every week was not going to get anybody anywhere. So reluctantly I stopped going along, to whatever ground people thought that might be playing at that week.

Yet the view expressed is that there is now some obligation to go back. Well, I thought it was a free country so I'll decide who I go and watch thank you.

However, there is indeed a reason not to go back. Its called a successful club owned by its fans and playing in the Borough which gives it its name. Until you have that I doubt whether its a real issue for ETFC fans to give much thought to.

Perhaps the more sensible course would be to reach an accommodation and have one [merged?] club able to offer all of the above to its widest audience?

Only the TRUE supporters left TO restart 'Enfield'

Most that are left at EFC are people who had greivencies against Jim Chandler or former board members.(and for a some of those, EFC is only their 2nd team..no names no pack-drill. Del/Rob)

Oh....lets not forget the current players freinds and family.

I believe we have over 70 members of the JETS, but I stand to be corrected.

No Hollie, our spectators are not BRFC supporters. As is usual in County leagues, the bar is outside the fenced area, so a Brimsdown member having a drink in teh bar has to pay admission, like everyone else, to gain entry to the ground itself and watch the game.

Of course if some of them wish to do just that, what is the problem? All clubs at all levels have floaters and casual spectators. Anyone paying admission counts towards the attendance, and so long as they enjoy the game, everyone's happy!

The old chestnut about loyal supporters sticking wih the club has been gone over and over many times before and is not worth repeating. No doubt it was all before your time, but we have our viewpoint and respect the stance of those that stayed.

Beer Sponsor, I think it's only you, Steph and I who would like to see a union of the two clubs. Frankly I can't see it happening as everyone else at both clubs seems to be against it, and there are a number of obstacles. For one thing, the ETFC "board" is not going to want to relinquish everything they have worked for and achieved, and the new "board" of EFC won't want to give up their new-found status. Another point is our constitution which is essentially that of a co-operative.

There would only be any point in it if EFC found a new home in the borough, thus effectively splitting the vote, so to speak. And one way or another the two teams are likely to be playing in the same league very soon!

BUT without a move back EFC are surely a dead duck.

I fact it was a very enjoyable evening and for your information SOS there were far more than two in attendance.

The event was well supported by both players and supporters of the club.

Yes I did attend as supporters of Enfield Football Club which I have been for 27 years,
