Let's be clear not all ETFC fans supported EFC. So not all of us left EFC.

Plus my own feeling is EFC left me. I'm here within walking distance of the cinema; where has the EFC ground and team gone? Miles away.

So ETFC, play in the boro'; have nearly 10 times the support of EFC; and have the good will og the general public (as witnessed @ the TOWN SHOW)

so debtate merger/incorporation all you want; but it is unlikely to get voted thru'; and if it did then it would be a loser with the public at large

Happy Christmas to all supporters whoever they support. It's good that there are supporters around who value non league football and are prepared to follow their team wherever they go.

Enjoy the festivities.

everything lovely stuff suggested leeds to Enfield Towns name disappearing to keep enfields name going, why should we give up what we have built?i wont support a merger and wont waste money sponsoring seats or buying any merchandise until i know it will benifit ENFIELD TOWN FC.

Afterall, the more of us there are pushing in the same direction the sooner a team from the Borough of Enfield can reclaim the title 'Kings of Non-league football'.

There are currently quite a lot of supporters doing exactly what you say. We at ETFC are pushing in the same direction to do the best we can and climb the ladder within the pyramid.

Jim,i think your slightly missing the point.

For ETFC fans to agree to join with EFC....It wouldn't be a merger as such.

It would be ETFC 'incorporating EFC' on ETFC terms.

As Town hold all the cards,i see the 'merger' if it ever happened,as little more than Town agreeing to take the name EFC and their history, under ETFC's wing to save the name Enfield football Club from dying.

In the same way a larger company merges with a smaller company..It is intergrated in,with the minimum of fuss.

Sorry EFC fans, but thats the reality.

If it did go ahead, certain compromises who have to be taken from both sides......How about having the EFC badge but with Enfield Town written under it...And maybe ETFC willing to concider gradually dropping the 'Town' part of their name in 10-15 years time...no guarantee's of cause.

These are just thoughts and possibilities, but they need to be discussed.

Its funny you mention above all the things Freebird has been warning everyone about but ETFC have always denied.

I don't think I have missed the point at all...
as the other posters have shown.

Happy Xmas to all at EFC and best wishes for the future

Um.....

... unless the name was "Enfield And Enfield Town (something or other)" the identity of whoever is NOT incorporated into the name will be lost!

Remember Dagenham & whoever, Collier Row etc.

Anyway guys, why all this talk now ? You made your choice.

ETFC have done well (so far)and EFC are on the road to 'recovery'. Stick with what you have got and let the other side do their own thing - you ARE two different clubs .... leave it that way!

Merry Christmas!!

Fair enough.

EFC needs a merger more than ETFC do.....As i said before 'ETFC will happily move ahead without you on board'.

I wouldn't have voted for anything that involved the present regime at EFC having any boardroom influence, any way.

The two clubs paths may cross briefly next year in the league...we'll wish EFC the best of luck and then we'll devote our energies into makeing the name of 'Enfield' something to be proud of again in Non-league circles again.

The king is dead, long live the king.

It was at the Hitchin Tournament of 98 or 99 that Bambi came into his own, as I captured in the TGTLS News report of the event. I didn't see Bambi when Enfield visited for the cup game. Was he there anyone?

There you go again as I mentioned on the other thread its a pity you dont make you feeling know in person to EFC supporters and hide behind comments on this forum

I know we can do without your comments and your money

piss off and dont come back if you are going to keep slagging EFC off
