only concerned because i used to care about the club before it ceased to exist.saw 394 games in a row before a night in hospital ended that run.watched reserves, youth and womens teams, was youth team match secretary, played for the supporters team, wrote for tgtls news and served on the supporters club commitee,so think of myself as qualified to comment on the old club.instead of hiding behind name as you put it show your credentials.

My credentials are there and those who know me know what they are.

Its now your old club and still exsists leave the running of the club to those who are there now and dont keep coming on this forum and making comments that are of no help to anyone.

You said it you used to care, so you dont any more stay away and leave the club to its current supporters and as I said before stay away.

As for watching 394 games in a row there are more out here that can better that and who cares about about it now.

I for one dont give a toss about you or your old record.

The only person who could better 394 (might) be efc's 'honoury president' ...but he got into all his games for nothing.

Go talk to the like of Roger Read, Roy Butler, John Powell, Glyn Smith, Dave Hicks now at ETFC.

There will be able to beat your silly 394 hand up any day.

394 in a row, only missed a handful of games in 11 seasons.I know these people and they were all loyal supporters also driven away by the situation at the club they followed for a long time.
Your other tired old comment about pub league does a dis-service to the hard working officials of the essex senior league who deserve a bit more respect.

I wouldn't burn your bridges with those running the 'feeder' leagues - it might not be long before you're begging them to let you into their league!

Enfield 37, like it or not ETFC supporters are going to continue to come on this forum until it is made 'EFC members only'. Your resentful attitude and vindictive comments only serve to undermine any credibility you had. This is a situation which was thrust upon us all by one man. Surely it's best to handle things in a reasonable manner (as the ETFC board have done by suggesting exploratory talks with EFC). Take note of the fact that only 2 or 3 EFC fans of the many more who visit this forum are posting inflamatory comments.

I know. Enfield 37's quote was on a different thread - you were nearer! Anyway, I don't think there's any arguing about what Enfield 37 has typed and it is clear that you were sticking up for the 'lower' leagues.

Oh to be a fly on the wall at the Liquidators' Creditors Meeting in January.........

Not being prepared to talk about the future might not look too clever then.

Talking about a future is what EFC are doing, The fact is its not with ETFC and never will be.

Talk is cheap....Those in charge of EFC have been talking about a 'bright future just around the corner' for years....It's all turned out to be bull**it....Some do,some talk.

EFC only have a future if they can build a stadium in the borough AND fill it with hundreds of supporters.

Southbury Rd will never return and neither will the supporters.FACT!!

So if you don't want to even consider a 'united' Enfield, thats fair enough, thats you choice,it's no skin of our nose.

the saddest thing is that a generation of young supporters is being lost to you and it is these who should become the adult supporters who should take over the club in the years to come.

Once again i read a lot of this with interest.

I saw load of game in the early yaers of the APL, Goala and Conference why did i not get a mention in the list, not sure how many i went to but I know i did not miss many if any in those early years.

You have a good point there MB with regards to the young supporters but having a healthy youth section at Enfield has paid off not just as supporters but has at present provided a team to keep things going in these hard times.

As for Enfield 37 comment, I do have the same view with regards to the clubs talking I dont think it will be a good idea, things have now gone to far.

I also heard a rumour at Cheshunt that ETFC were going to sponsor the Cheshunt game against Enfield at Easter.

Well there you go then, things ARE improving at EFC. Thank you for informing us of that, which we obviously overlooked. How kind you are, ST, and you must care a lot about EFC to bother to check out these things.

Was the 'wip-round' to pay the players done before or after the game.....If it was after,i think it may be a case of BFH (bus fare home).

The futures so bright,i've gotta wear shades.

Seriously though,it's time to wake up and smell the linimant....shame and humiliation is being brought onto the name of (once) the greatest name in NL football...ENFIELD.

Either put the club out of it's misery or enter into meaninful talks with ETFC about the future of football in Enfield.

But i fear 'chips on shoulders' will prevent that from ever happening.
