An awful afternoon - We lose and Tamworth and Leigh both look like winning.

And to cap it, Huddersfield lost 4-0, as well.

Goal - Chester 1 (Michael Twiss 90) Stevenage 2

Leigh & Tamworth have both won - final scores:

accrington stanley 4 - 2 aldershot town
burton albion 3 - 0 gravesend and northfleet
chester city 1 - 2 stevenage borough
dagenham and redbridge 1 - 2 leigh rmi
farnborough town 1 - 2 scarborough
halifax town 2 - 0 exeter city
hereford united 0 - 1 tamworth
northwich victoria 0 - 4 forest green rovers
telford united 1 - 2 barnet
woking 4 - 1 morecambe

Perhaps now we will realise that we can't rely on other teams losing!

At least Farnborough and Northwich lost - we could rely on them losing - as Margate will potentially be kicked out of the Conference at the end of the season, if they dont sort their ground out.

So we could survive by default, although I sincerely hope we dont find ourselves in that position.

Makes it vital we get 3 points next Saturday against Woking, and then at least 4 points from the Margate games.

Depressing 'specially as Leigh & Tamworth are now level, albeit with poorer goal difference, how badly do we need a goal scorer or two?
We can only hope for Andy to start dealing in the transfer market
and soon.

Droylsden and Hucknall top two, plus fourth placed Alfreton in the Unibond Premier have not applied for the Conference due to their facilities not being up to standard. Not sure about Harrogate who are third. So there could be just two relegated from the Conference at the end of the season.

Crap. Too much of a negative formation again.

Hmmmm. To quote Andy Ford's comments in The Reporter a couple of weeks ago:

''The players have given me everything but it is a sad fact of football that sometimes players have got their levels and you saw that against Scarborough last Saturday that some of them are not good enough.''

A case of more of the same again today, I wonder?

Being here at work and not there, I'd be interested in the thoughts of those who did attend the match.
