Enfield U17's beat Enfield Towns U18's, today, to go through to the quarter final. This was despite EFC being without 5 first team players and playing with only 10 men for the last 20 minutes. I thought that ETFC U18's were quite a good team, because on their league web site they appear to be in third place. That is until you realise the league table is in alphabetical order, and they are in fact bottom with 1 point!!!

Well done to EFC's first team and youth team yesturday.

Hollie...Have you ever been to a EFC first team game....Or in fact any game that your son isn't playing in.

By all means keep us informed of the reserves and youth team, but you also seem to have an a lot of opinions on the 'first team', a team you obviously can't even be bothered to watch.

Are'nt you an absolute d***head. My son has not played in any EFC match for about 3 months now. I have only watched one first team match this season, but I think I have a good excuse for not going. Could be to do with the fact that I am actually the Reserve Team Secretary, and therefore I go to watch them every Saturday. Before you ask why I don't go to any midweek matches, its because I also wash all of the kit, and go to any meetings and FA hearings. You have a lot to say but when the first team have'nt had a Saturday match, have you ever bothered to watch the reserve team. A team that does often include first team players, so I think I do know a little bit about the first team.

I agree you know a bit about the current first team players....half of them were playing in the reserves a month ago.

I admire your dedication with the reserves....just try to refain from argueing about 'first team' affairs....not unless you can be bothered going to watch them.

'i'm washing the kit'.....well i suppose it beats .'i'm washing my hair'.

Last Enfield Reserve team game I remember watching I think a certain Brad Brotherton was captaining the E's - now he was a good player....although come to think of it we saw quite a lot of E's Reserves at Goldsdown Road earlier this year!

If you are going to talk about league tables, lets talk about Ryman 1 (N). Things are looking grim for EFC. Third from bottom and going nowhere. It appears the only team EFC are capable of beating in that league is Barking & East Ham Utd and they are bottom!

Perhaps you can get somebody to read my previous posting to you. Also I don't give a damn if you think I should not talk about the first team. This is ENFIELD FC Forum, I shall continue to post about what ever Enfield team I want to.

[color:"blue"]Well lets also talk about EJA Tables, where ETFC so called next seasons Reserve Team play. Rock bottom, 1 point. Beaten today by an U17's team, while they had U18 players in their team. We can also talk about Enfield Reserves league Table. EFC Reserves are top of their division, also they won the group division in the League Cup.

[color:"blue"]It shows just how good ETFC U18 Youth team is. Postings on the ESL Forum either ask for fans to turn up at Brimsdowns ground, with shovels, on a Sunday or go to watch the Ladies team. Never to go and watch them., Or maybe its because then it would have to be acknowledged that they don't 'play in the Borough'. Something that ETFC like to crow about.

Hollie....no ones disputing that EFC have a good U18/reserve side...or that as a new club,'youth and reserve' teams are not a priority to Enfield Town at the moment.

In fact i'm sure the youth/reserve ETFC team was set-up last year, when a sunday league club approached ETFC asking if they could use the name 'Enfield Town' and affiliate with us.(correct me if i'm wrong)

When the time is right,i'm sure Town will set up a 'proper' reserve team.

Where on earth did you come up with the notion that the u18s will become ETFC's reserve team next year?

As for people being asked to carry out work at Brimsdown on a Sunday morning, what's the problem with that? It keeps the expenses down!

I don't normally post on here because I don't need to, but please, gets your facts right in future!

Have a nice day!

My facts are right, according to the U18's Manager, because that is what he keeps telling people. Maybe he should be told to get his facts right. I did'nt say there was a problem with people helping out at Brimsdown, was just pointing out that shovelling rubbish and watching the ladies matches seemed to be more important then the U18's youth team. I can now see why, if you are saying that the U18's Manager is wrong, and that they are not next Seasons Reserve Team.

All depends on where your priorities lie.

If I am daft enough to dig out an area of the ground surround and get soaked into the bargain, then I will leave it up to someone else to watch the Ladies or Youth section. As you well know, we all cannot do everything.

Keep enjoying you football.

It seems to me - as a person who supports ETFC but is always pleased to see EFC do well that Hollie, who ever he is, needs to calm down and grow up.

There has been a lot of rational talking and good spirits between the two clubs lately and very pleasant it has been too.

Hollie - you have just set it back a long way!

How do you work that out Jim Culleen. I put a posting on here (which is the Enfield Forum, I did not go to the ESL Forum) to let Enfield fans know a result. Going by the replies I got from lovely stuff and SOS, they are the ones who are trying to stir up trouble. The only sensible reply was from andyetfc. You must be looking at the Forum with rose coloured glasses, if you think it has all been sweetness and light lately, but thats your opinion. When I get sarcastic remarks made to me, I will answer them back. Especially when people 'think' they know about me, but obviously don't. For example assuming Hollie is a he!!

Thanks, andyetfc, I will try to carry on enjoying the football, but as the weather gets worse and the kits get dirtier it does become a little bit harder to enjoy. Winning helps though.

You obviously have not been around very long - you cant even get my name right.

I have reread your posting and if anyone was sarcastic its you!

The majority of ETFC fans still have an interest inEFC and the majority wish nothing but good for the club. And yes I do believe an awful amount of the sniping between the clubs has died down. There will be the odd exceptions however.

Don't talk such rubbish, you were the one stirring up trouble with your attempted gloating to start this thread. So what if EFC reserves are doing well in their league. Ultimately it's where the first team are that's important.

Wow, you are so famous that I must be new, because I had the audacity to spell your name wrong!!! and I'm gloating because I put a good result of an Enfield FC team on the Enfield FC forum. Do you two realise how stupid your remarks are.

Anyway to get back to my original posting, for all EFC fans. There are two U17 teams in the quarter final of the County Cup, three other age groups are still in it, the first team got 3 points on Saturday, the reserves are top of their league,we all had a brilliant night Saturday and more importantly it helped raise money for the club. I think this is the first of a lot more good weekends for the club.

Happy Christmas to everyone, bring on the New Year.

The U17 results have no bearing as the club has no future. The first team get three points against a [***!!***] team and you celebrate like mad. I think it's time you started being realistic.

And with the liquidator in the background at EFC isn't it inevitable that the two clubs will have to start talking about their respective futures? I think there is a consensus that the Borough cannot support two senior clubs.
