Not QUITE like 1966, was it Ken?
Only one Hammer on the pitch - and he got subbed for Dyer, who did absolutely nothing!

On the day, the best team won although both keepers were rarely troubled. Shame we went out with not much of a fight. What was annoying was our passing back in the last half an hour when we should of at least had a go at them. The heat did not help but we were lacking in ideas. After watching the match from 1970 the other night, makes you appreciate what a team we had then.

Perhaps in the build up to the European Championship Sven should devote a bit more time to the youngsters, who may just WANT to play for their country, and not simply take selection for granted?
Experience ISN'T everything, pride counts for a lot - it is a little known saddo-trivia fact that at the start of the 1966 Finals, Geoff Hurst and Martin Peters only had eight full caps between them, and look what they did!
They think it's all over......
