Beer? prices? are the grounds easy to find? is there plenty of cover when the heavens open up? sittingbull Posted October 22, 2016 Author Share Posted October 22, 2016 Well, I have seen some crap refs since we reformed, but the ref today, playing against Didcot town was the worst so far. He just lost total control of the game. Corners instead of goal kicks etc, fouls by both side just ignored, he was an absolute joke and should never be given a whistle to blow again. The Didcot team have been the most physical that we have met this season, and they played the ref very well, Two points lost to Didcot? no, the ref cost us two points. I must say, In general so far this season, we have received a very good welcome from the opposition, team and fans alike, and I feel that the opposition have said that they have received a good welcome from us. Cannot wait for the return match at Didcot on Saturday 4th March, I think that there will be a lot of verbal and I hope a very strong ref is appointed by the league. I was and reports are pretty poor, even this sites write up claims that Didcots goal was from a penalty due to Greens foul..... sorry came from the resulting free kick. Now to the facts as I saw them. signs all over the place saying no alcohol to be taken pitch side, yet Didcot sold bottles of carlsberg at £3 a go from the tea hut, they served anyone with money in their pocket even the drunken ones. When the second goal was scored, three idiots went on the pitch, two came off straight away, 1 faced up to the keeper and then pushed him, not a headbutt to be seen. ALL the Didcot team dugout included laid into the moron and then other fans went to protect and help the said moron. We have a few morons, and they are bared from Edgar Street , we cannot prevent them from entering other grounds, we also have no say on the amounts of stewards that the home club put out, we even offer to bring stewards with the club as we appreciate that most clubs do not know how to handle 1,000 + fans and I believe Didcot turned down the offer. If you took the trouble to read my previous post, when we played Didcot at home, that should of given a hint to needing more stewards than normal etc.... just another club out to make as much money as they can at their cup final with as little outlay as possible , with little thought of 99% of innocent supporters who have come to watch a football match. Hope they lose their alcohol licence due to their lack of respect to what alcohol does to people, and the continuation of selling the product in prohibited areas, to people who were obviously under the influence of alcohol. I am hoping that the cameras that Hereford goals place around the goal mouth will prove the facts, and prove people like you... the daily crap mirror reader... that you should gain the facts before writing the above loads of bull locks. I wish for no club to fold and disappear , but in your case, i could be tempted to change my mind. I have responded to him on a number of occasions and with regard to his comments of 04 March I have stated as you do that the vast majority of Hereford Fans (including my brother-in-law) are not to be tarred with the same brush as the few morons who have caused the problems. Equally you have fallen into the same trap when as a result of Rebel 1965 comments you responded the following day stating that you hoped for his club to fold. Well of course it's not his club and he does not represent the views of the vast majority of Rebel supporters. We at Slough are still in the mix for promotion but if this does not come about and we meet in the league next year let us hope that these keyboard exchanges do not sully relations between the supporters. Good to see that your sister has good taste in choosing a Hereford fan to marry lol.... Wishing you and Slough all the best. Back to subject matter, the Southern league have decided in their wisdom to replay the Didcot v Hereford match..... bit strange as the result does not affect anything, we are champs and Didcot are not in a relegation dog fight. Hope its either played behind closed doors, or any money charged to be donated to charity, if its neither of those... then a total boycott will happen by Hereford fans (well we might invade the hill next to the ground) but not a penny to the diddymen. Just a small clarification - my brother-in-law was a long term Rebels supporter but the family moved to the Malvern area in 1985 so he has now become a supporter at Hereford FC.
