FF News
Welling United, relegated from the Vanarama National League South, have added to their squad for the coming campaign. Twenty-one-year-old central defender George Allen has signed for the Wings at Park View Road. Allen, who started his career with Stevenage FC, went on trial at Wolverhampton Wanderers a couple of summers ago, and has spent three seasons with Welling`s new league rivals Bishop`s Stortford, the first on loan, and then joined permanently after being released by Boro. Despite a couple of niggling injuries, he proved himself to be an important player in the Blues' defence, but has now decided to seek a fresh challenge.
