First game of the season eleven goals a record for me for a first game. Nice to see Jim on the gate, Tango Man and E & E Rich in attendance, was in the bar after the game but didn't have the balls to talk to the Bedfont management team. Wouldn't know what to say.

After all, it's only the first game!

Should of said hello tel!! Is what it is mate some you have to take on the chin, and that's the one we will take and that's football.

Move on to saturday.

Being a local I'll be down a few times during the season. Saturday is the time to bring a few bob into the club. Nice short trip, eh!

Sometimes it's not how you react when you're winning but how you react when you're losing and Bedfont and Feltham never stopped trying. Well on top in the first half and could have gone in 3 or 4 up. Epsom and Ewell got the crucial early goal in the 2nd half and from then on it was one way traffic with some lovely football and great goals. I think Rich is still doing the report judging by our conversation yesterday. Nice to meet Tel and Jim as well. You're next on the list to meet Dalts :-)

Various non league faces I recognised there from Windsor, Bedfont Sports and SCR as well.

Talking of Windsor Carl Dennison the former Windsor keeper was sent off for a foul in the 28th minute of his debut for Ascot Utd last night

What an evening!

Firstly, the match report is now available here:

http://www.eefconline.co.uk/Fix2016.17-5.html

Secondly, it was good to meet Dalts, Loop, Tango Man and Tel yesterday. There was quite an attendance and I suggested to Scott and B&F that he might want to print a few more programmes for those who missed out. I think it would be a good move personally as floating supporters usually love a programme and it could make the difference between attending or going to another match.

Bedfont & Feltham played some good football and will give teams trouble going forward. I'm pleased to report that we were able to adapt to cope better with that threat in the second half when almost everything we hit went in! If they can play like they did in the first half, they will stay up.

I wrote earlier in the week about our lack of ability to score goals. Better to ignore that comment now! There are still areas to improve upon, but the players know this and hopefully will continue to improve as it is a tough looking league this season.

As an aside, quite strange to see Dennison sent off on his debut for Ascot as he was sent off on the opening day of last season against us!

Great report Rich and nice to meet you and your son last night too

I must admit, they don't allow EE-Rich into my local in 'Leafy Dorking' when he's wearing that cap though.

It's been so long I've forgotten what you look like JR :)

Let me know when you are next at the Dog and we can have a chat.

I blame the summer holidays and sunshine.

I'll text you.
