I am really excited the season finally gets underway for us on Saturday at home to Frimley Green, its going to be an exciting season in Div One this season with an abundance of quality teams all fighting to go up.

Roll on Saturday :D

I saw Bedfont Sports come back from 0-2 down at H/ T to win 3- 2. Sports had a Penalty given after a handball situation that wasn't given. Overall a good game with a few yellows thrown in for good measure

Camberley 6 -1 Cove. A stunning afternoon to enjoy a game of football, though it must have got a bit warm on the pitch for the boys at times. Camberley came out deserved winners and their class showed through with 6 goals on the sheet and if not for some good goalkeeping at times in the Cove goal and hitting about every part of the posts and the bar it could have been many more. Cove grabbed a consolation goal from a free kick on the edge of the box but apart from that offered little threat to the Camberley goal. The game was played in good spirit and the only downside being a couple of players took early season knocks, nothing too serious and a few ice packs will see them up and about in no time. Great to be out in the sunshine and lets hope for many more dry days this season. Good luck to Cove for the coming season and to Camberley for a good run in the cup.

I am not a football man and I don't know what goes on behind the scenes or why certain decisions are made, and I have huge respect for everyone at Windsor but this season I've decided, sod it, without ever being directly being critical of individuals I'm going to say it as I see it.

If anyone thinks I've got it wrong, sobeit. I'm just a supporter airing his views.

Bedfont 3-2 Windsor

Windsor 2-0 up soon after HT with the management shouting, "now manage the game!" which they proved singularly incapable of doing.

Same old same old. We STILL cannot cope with a big hoof upfield. (During a 1st half break in play huddle the Bedfont captain shouted at his players "we've seen the one time we went long we caused them problems so why are we trying to play football - were not fcuking good enough to do that - put it long!" He wasn't wrong!)

I have seen all 8 of the PSFs and we always looked best with proper width. Our 2 best wide players, both 18, were not even on the bench of 7 subs.

They may have been unfit. The management may have felt that starting with 3 teenagers and another couple on the bench may have been enough but proper wingers create problems for defenders.

Our player coach Ashley Smith who played for Chesham Utd in their defeat of Bristol Rovers in the FA Cup last season wasn't on the bench either. Again, I know not why. May have been a very good reason (suspension carried over perhaps??) but with him on the pitch we would not have lost.

Our 2 ball playing midfielders, Sheehan and Wretham who can make things happen with a junky run and pin point pass were both on the bench. Without them we hardly made a pass of note, and never looked comfortable on the ball in midfield.

Hugo Sobte our 17yo keeper (who has stepped up after the departure of the previously mentioned Carl Dennison) flapped at a couple of crosses but made some good saves and launched some forward momentum with decent distribution.

However their keeper made 2 mistakes to gift us 2 headed goals but otherwise didn't make a single proper save.

In short - we got exactly what we deserved.

Redhill 4  v St. Francis Rangers 1

Strong Redhill display 3-1 up at half time, even had a Spitfire fly past.

Just need to sort out some pictures.

Next up Lewis.

Wood 5-2 AFC Croydon Athletic - Report here - http://wibbandune.simplesite.com/417806001

Gave the tannoy system an airing today.

As if we don't have enough to do on match days.

Still, it was fun.

Apparently I have a "manly" voice according to Vic, our 93 year old "ultra". :D

Bloody glad to hear it!

Banstead away next round. Tricky that one!

The match report from our win over Gravesham Borough is here:

http://www.eefconline.co.uk/Fix2016.17-6.html

We deserved to win in the end, but trailed for a while and then nearly conceded a replay when they equalised near the end, despite being down to ten men by then. Still three late goals gave the score line a flattering look.

As for the next round I'd rather go to Banstead than Faversham but if we can win at Windsor on Saturday we will go into the match on the back of nine straight away wins. We have now scored 40 goals in our last eight away matches!

Tbh not looking beyond Windsor yet and then CB Hounslow before we look forward to the Cup tie but nice to win a round for a change as we have only done that once in the previous three years.
