FF News
Interim manager Paul Carden was a happy man after watching his Tranmere Rovers side pick up a 3-1 win over Woking at Prenton Park in his first game in charge. Goals from Andy Cook (2) and James Norwood were enough to get the three points while there were also penalties saved at both ends during the second half in an eventful game. Carden told Tranmere Player HD: "It was a good performance. I think the way the lads have approached training this week has been good and they applied themselves really well. "One of the things we spoke about before the game was to put balls into the box because we know the two lads up front will score goals. "We knew they played with wing backs so with 4-4-2 we could exploit them down the sides and I think we did that well. "To a man, they all put a shift in today and we're really pleased with the result and the performance."
