i went to enfield today and saw a very poor game in front of a small crowd, this just proved that enfield fc have NOTHING that we need at Enfield Town and would not improve us in any way.The only thing they would do is drag us down to their level.

Thats interesting
what i saw was an Enfield side taht did well to hold Cheshunt to 0-0 at half time and then go down later in the game once Cheshunt turned up the pace.

its interesting you did not make yourself know to the Enfield Supporters im sure they would have been interested to talk to you.

I was also there - how many others of the small crowd were ETFC supporters? It was a poor game although I do agree that Enfield did well to hold Cheshunt until the last 25 minutes or so. At 1-0 up Enfield looked comfortable but then it all fell apart - how much of this was down to the strong wind in Cheshunt's favour I'm not sure. I certainly wasn't very impressed with the top team in Ryman Div 1 North - standard was no higher than what we're watching evey week.

Nice to see both Tommy and Nicky Morgan playing for the E's!

I was also there.

Very dissapointed with the standard of football from both teams.

EFC fought hard but ran out of puff in the second half.....I thought the two sides where evenly matched apart from the quality of the respective forward lines.

I was expecting a bigger crowd for a local derby...there looked about 75 there yesterday, and there was no atmosphere.

At least the Morgans will provide some skill and neat touches....But don't expect much scrapping or penatration from their play.

Well its interesting to see two comments that did not slag the E's off and were fair.

it seems to me brunob was watching a differant came or was he/she ever there.

As for the crowd it was low but what did you expect with neither club having a great support.

Cheshunt were not as good as I had expected them to be but and some doggy decisions from the assistant helped them when did obstruction on the edge of the box become a penalty.

Saying that they did have early chances and could have been two up early on before E's came back into the game.

A draw would have been a fair result we deserved that much.

I was also interesting to see Freebird there I wonder who you were supporting rob (mate)

obstruction on the edge of the box was a push in the six yard box when the keeper already had the ball, pointless realy and annoying when it happens.neither club having much support comes in on nothing we need.
I am definately male and using part of my name, but you are STILL hiding behind your screen name.

Could you explain this remark, because it sounds as if you are accusing Russ of 'point scoring' by informing people of his sad news. If this is what you are saying then I think you should be banned from these forums for life. If you are not saying that, then I apologise to you, but perhaps you should try to explain more what you are in fact saying.

That's not how I read brunob's comments, Hollie - I think he was saying that we shouldn't be trying to score cheap points off each other with Russ' very sad news so fresh in the memory.

I'm sure all at ETFC would join me in sending condolences to Russ - hope to see his comments back on the forums soon because I'm sure he has a lot of 'friends' out here in internetland, whether we know him personally or not.

How do you manage to get "points scoring" and EFC on the same thread!

LOL
