All the Conference clubs admission prices were published yesterday and I'm sorry to say a good number (about 40%) were cheaper than Canvey. Only one appeared dearer.

And I suspect even more will do so next season, the rest will moan about it but still keep paying up.

A Conference club in all but name then - same prices, same funding from a wealthy benefactor/manager, but its actually being there that counts. <img src="/forums/images/icons/tongue.gif" alt="" />

 

I'm not having a dig at Canvey fans here, just at the club administrators for setting such draconian prices, and I'm sure that many Canvey supporters would agree with me about it.

 

Money won't get you everywhere in football - clubs must combine it with a good club set-up, strong team spirit and a loyal supporter base to really go places. One suspects that with these inflated prices, Canvey will be missing out on at least the latter next season.
