Enfield Town v Tonbridge Angels

After two excellent away wins on the bounce in the past seven days, Town return to the QE2 Stadium this Saturday afternoon, when they host Tonbridge Angels in the Ryman Premier Division. KO. 3.00pm.

Town are on a very good run in the league, having won six and drawn three of their last ten matches. They have delivered some strong team performances, against good opposition, not least last weekend when they travelled to the south coast and secured an excellent away win against table-toppers Havant & Waterlooville.

Tonbridge Angels have made a good start to the season themselves, and are currently 8th in the RPD table, one point and two places ahead of Town, having played two games less. Last season they completed the double over us, winning 0-1 in our first home game of the season, and 3-1 in the return.

Angels have a good history of success, and in the 2010-11 season they won the RPD play-off final to secure promotion to Conference South. They had three season in the higher division, before being relegated back to the RPD in the 2014-15 season.

Town will be very keen to make home advantage tell in this match, to build on their impressive league form, as they look to climb the table and secure another three points from this challenging fixture. We have the momentum, but will need to work hard for a good result. Hopefully, we can replicate the intensity of our impressive victory over Havant.

Good luck everyone. Let's have plenty of loud noisy home support for Brad and the boys!

Selection will be interesting again. Dernell's goal was fantastic possibly better than their left backs spectacular effort. Percy played very well. Kirbs was majestic. Keir was inventive and created a couple of clear chances. Bobby looked lively. Not sure about toms man of the match but he was much improved.

Finally great composure for the penalties..... and what about Scotty no goals conceded then nathan arrives and lets 3 in!!!! All this with Harry, Mickey et al in contention. Brads cup runneth over.

On another note I saw George Sykes in the crowd. Barnet fan? Certainly one of their ex players in the same cohort as Harold I think. Just saying.

BIG MATCH DAY

Are you ready?

This will be a good game. The Ryman Premier Division title race, and the fight for the play-off places, has never been closer and will go to the wire this season.

So, all to play for at Donkey Lane this afternoon. Town face a tough, tricky 'must win' match, and will need another dominant, high-energy performance, to win the day. In the end, it will come down to which team wants it most - hopefully that will be us!

What are YOUR thoughts on our prospects and the likely outcome of this match??

Hard to understand why Town are under-performing this afternoon. Angels are a good side, but we played very well to win at Havant and Barnet, and should be giving a better account of ourselves in this match. There is still time, but you do wonder why we are being outplayed today.

Phew! Talk about leaving it late!!

Just when we thought it wasn't to be our day, up pops Captain Kirby with an equalising goal, to secure us a point and lift everyone's spirits. We lost this match 0-1 last season, so we have improved on that result. Well done to our guys on sticking in and getting a share of the points from what sounds like a very difficult match.

Please let us have YOUR own take on this game. Thanks.
