farnborough fc v ashford fc

Recommended Posts

the game finished 2-1 but Will got sent off very early in the game which I thought was very harsh it looked like to me the player slipping over I didn't think there was contact , we played brilliantly with 10 men work rate was superb , even our slick passing returned in large spells against a very good side ,set pieces definitely need to be addressed we are not making them count sometimes not clearing the first man or 10ft over the bar practice at training I think ! Samad and bailey had a hard afternoon  with there winger giving them a torrid time,  Kam was brilliant as was Russell and Alex you never know if it would have been 11 v11 might have been a different outcome, onto sat where we need to kick on and gets some points we have been in freefall but  I'm sure we will turn it around nice touch from farnborough  with the free burger and chips !!

Totally agree set pieces are a problem they are meant to be a goal scoring opportunity, We don't even look close to hitting it on target. Change the kicker! both Max's can hit a ball sweetly, And even Tommy Has got it in his locker.

We played our football we looked better with 10 men than 11 Russ did well at the back keeping the ball in play when clearing his lines which helped us keep the ball boye always seems to kick the ball out. When most of the time he can hook it line.

I wasn't at the game (I didn't go anywhere over the long weekend due to a heavy head cold) but, in fairness, the Farnborough Twitter reporter thought their player slipped via his own momentum and that the ref had made the wrong decision. Begs a question about the Farnborough forward's morals, though (puts tin hat on).
