Blimey what a carry on, not sure what the reason as to why the game was abandoned before the start, was it something to do with not having kit? ...this was back in September.

Anyhow AC London v Banstead is 28th February, not January as give in above statement.

Should be a good game!

Thanks, I've changed the date on the web site now.

 

The original match was abandoned because one of the assistants stated he had received a serious verbal threat from a person associated with AC London and it was agreed by the match officials that the match could not proceed.

 

I have no idea why it has taken the FA so long to deal with the club's appeal, given that the original match was scheduled for 14 September but I hope you can understand why it has been found necessary to restore the club to the competition, as explained in the article.

Thanks for the explanation, trying to get my head around as to why the FA would take this stance, we read about match officials proposing  action by organising  strike days to highlight the situations they have to deal with, seems the FA are not keen on protecting officials (and at a guess) when the legal profession gets involved.

As the Lobsters have to play both these teams in the promotion chase l think I may pop along.
