Towners vs Rocks

So many tabloid style puns available here I don't know how or whether to begin?

But seriously, much has happened in terms of form for both clubs since our one-all draw at the beginning of the year, so what do you wish for Saturday and what do you think will actually happen?

Will the score line say, "Bugger Bognor", and we all go out on the Town? Or will our mini revival be dashed on the Rocks?

Wodjyafink people?

Always difficult to predict matches at this stage of the season. The 1-1 draw at Nyewood Lane could have gone either way. It was a well deserved point for Town against a very good side. Bognor are strong contenders for promotion this season. I am popping over to Bognor tomorrow evening to see them play third place Leiston. Should be a very good match and probably another three points for The Rocks.

I'm really looking forward to Saturdays match at the QE2 Stadium. Town have delivered some good results in recent matches, and Brad and the boys will be looking to maintain that form with a home win against the league leaders. They can do it, but it certainly won't be easy!

Jogged a few memories there Littlehampton; bored of the beach, up Nyewood Lane, past Aldwick House, watch the men in green. Brilliant childhood holidays!

I love Littlehampton, for a day out but it has gone somewhat downhill overe the past few years.

Lots of empty shops which then re-open as charity shops.

Sign of the times I suppose.

A cracking match at Bognor last night, close, tense, exciting, and a superb winning goal from the Rocks number (9) Jimmy Wild, which must be a candidate for goal of the season.

Bognor are a young, talented, pacey side, who attack and defend in numbers, and are very dangerous on the break. They come to the QE2 on Saturday unbeaten in their last eleven league matches, with 7 wins and 4 draws, and are currently four points clear at the top of the table. Can we lower their colours and beat the champions elect on our own patch at the weekend?

Town are now 7th in the table with 63 points and five matches to play. Realistically, we will need to win them all, and hope others slip-up, to creep into the play-offs. Will we do it?

A big crowd expected at Donkey Lane on Saturday. There were 667 at Bognor last night. Can we exceed that on Saturday?

>>BIG JR

We used to go on holiday to Littlehampton every year as a child and it is where I spent my honeymoon, which cause wry comments at the reception. We were there a few years ago on our boat and could not believe the changes that have been made. I could not find the Climping Caravan Site where I spent my childhood holidays as the bypass seems to have been built right through it.

I could not find the hotel where we spent our honeymoon which seems to have been replaced by medium rise flats.

Still the dunes and funfair were still there but as you say it all looks rather seedy.

Sorry, I mistakenly thought this topic was about Saturdays match against 'BOGNOR' not location, location .....!!

It is, but some of us like to remove our anoraks occasionally in the hope that people won't find us too anally obsessive ;)

Anoraks rules ok

Should that be rule?

Or Anorak's rules - the rules of an anorak?

Or Anoraks' rules - the rules of many anoraks?

I'm well confused? Time to take my anorak off!  ;)

I prefer Harris Tweed. Actually bought my Tweed coat from the Isle of Harris as we were Sailing By two years ago.(Note the reference to the old BBC closing music for the shipping forecast).

Now how is that for deviation.

First class deviation Steph1 (or may I call you 1?) like a Harry Ottaway darting run!

Quality Steph.

Lovely Stuff- massive game? Agree totally.

However Leiston need to loose 4 from 7 for us to overhaul them, they have upcoming games with Billericay , Midweek away to Merstham, v's a much improved Leatherhead, local derby v Lowestoft and ourselves. Dulwich are inconsistent and will drop points where you least expect them too, Needham and Tonbridge are slipping up regularly too, I believe 4 wins from 5 can still be enough, but 5 from is a definite playoff place imo.

One game at a time, 3 points are golden points at this stage and our position in the league.

Set to be a cracking couple of weeks and if it goes our way a cracking end of season run in.
