Chippenham Town announce ground redevelopment

FF News

Recommended Posts

Chippenham Town are intending to update the Club’s facilities by replacing the present office/boardroom structure with a multi-purpose facility building.

The proposed new building will have a variety of uses including being available for community hire and a classroom. It will also house dedicated disabled spectator facilities. On match days, the accommodation will be used as a boardroom, entertainment area and match day offices.

To help make way for the new accommodation, it is also planned to replace the existing rainwater storage tank with an underground facility and to relocate the Club shop elsewhere within the ground.

The cost of the project is estimated to be around £160,000. The club is pursuing various grant avenues as well as looking for sponsorship from the business community. We would also like to involve our super supporters and, to these end, we intend to create a ‘Wonder Wall’ of supporters’ messages.

Fans are being asked to purchase a white ceramic tile (provided by the Club) on which they will be able to write their name and/or a message. We are not putting a specific price on a tile but suggest a minimum of £5 although fans are free to donate an amount with which they feel comfortable. Money pledged will be held in a dedicated bank account so in the event of the project not going ahead the full amount will be returned.

Tiles will be available shortly and, if necessary, will be stored for installation once the building is in place.

You do not have to be a supporter of the Bluebirds to participate so please ask any family member, friend or work colleague if they would also be interested.
