Saturday 203 bus STANWELL to BEDFONT SPORTS V ABBEY bus home Monday A M bus STANWELL to BEDFONT & FELTHAM V BEDFONT SPORTS same bus stops then 203 bus to Long Lane 5 minutes walk to ASHFORD V FARNBOROUGH 10 minutes walk home. Senior bus pass and reduced senior entrance gives me a few extra pence for at least another beer. Next season with a bit of planning from Mr C and the cooperation of the clubs we could have 3 games over one of the bank holidays on the same day With for example 11:00. 13:00 15/16:00 k o With both BEDFONT's and CB HOUNSLOW then in their new home in Green Lane HOUNSLOW only a few minutes away HANWORTH VILLA , SPELTHORNE SPORTS, STAINES LAMMAS, ABBEY RANGERS, WALTON & HERSAM & CHERTSEY are all only 10/15 apart the Combined Counties could have a mini ground hop. lazarus Posted April 16, 2017 Share Posted April 16, 2017 It might just be because the 1st Round match was abandoned in September without ever starting, then we had several weeks while Surrey County FA deliberated, then the appeal to the FA, then the time it took them to advise the outcome, then 2 postponements because the Banstead pitch was waterlogged, then a further abandonment due to the floodlights failing. Add in the fact that Banstead declared their pitch unavailable on 29 April plus the general problems of availability that ground sharing brings plus the FA requirement that we must finish league matches by a certain date.
