Nuneaton Town skipper Kelvin Langmead’s consistent and reliable season was recognised at the End of Season awards when he scooped three accolades.

The 32 year-old has led by example this term and scooped the Player’s Player of the Season award as well as the Independent Supporters Club Player of the Season and Fans’ Player of the Season prizes.

“I’m extremely proud to have been recognised in this way,” he said. “I wasn’t expecting it, if I’m being totally honest, it’s humbling.

“To get this kind of recognition from your fellow players and the supporters means everything. It makes all the effort worthwhile.

“This club is on the verge of something special happening and I would like to be part of it. There is plenty to be positive about here.

“We’ve got a good crop of youngsters starting to emerge who are learning all of the time.

“There have been ups and downs this season but we’ll be stronger for it as a group moving forward.”
