Manager Movement.

Recommended Posts

I notice the Bognor manager has moved on after winning the playoff final.

Also Gavin Rose at Dulwich may move on after possible budget restraints, makes me wonder how interested Brad would be if indeed Gavin did move on,and indeed Harry and Billy both ex Dulwich players.

Not sure how our own Budget is looking but with no shirt sponsor at the moment does that mean a possible reduction in Brads playing Budget.?

Interesting close season ahead.COYT.

From the Braintree forum yesterday ..

Why if it's going to be announced who the new manager is in the next few days has a advert popped up on the club website this morning asking for applications for manager could we have been turned down by our preferred choice.??

Really hoping that Brad stays with us to complete the job next season. The last 2 months of the season were so exciting, with great atmospheres at games.

If we add a few players but keep the nucleus of the squad together we should challenge for the league next season. I'm sure if you worked out our points per game ignoring the bad start we would have been there or thereabouts

Lets also not forget that the spine of the squad was ripped apart in pre season - loss of Harold, Claudio, Alfred, Bobby, Corey. If Brad can start with a settled team, and with the increasing & vocal support I feel we would have a great chance.

Fingers crossed we issue a statement soon that Brad is here for next season ...

Few of the comments are replicating the comments of previous close seasons in the past.

Let's take the facts-

Firstly-Braintree are in a mess they've been relegated the chairman is moaning it'll cost them £150k in budgeting for the new season, it needs a rebuilding program, doesn't look appealing if I was already in charge of a team.

Secondly- we are world winners at moaning and groaning but in all we are a great ETFC family which is growing with newer and younger supporters regularly attending home+away games. We are progressive with many financial avenues still for us to tap into yet can still currently finish a record 4th place.

3rdly the board match Bradley's ambitions? That's rubbish, the senior board members give every single penny available to player budget that we generate, can't offer more or we'd sink

And in truth we are a super club and the grass isn't greener in other gardens, another chairman will big up his club as the greatest available job , beware the Bullsh##er

Lastly Brad has 2 management Achilles heals 1- poor starts to seasons, which has cost us badly the 3 seasons he's started with us including assisting George. 2- I believe a manager should achieve something first before moving up, Dan Cowley a prime example, in truth Brads won nothing done nothing.

However it's Brads and Braintree's decision making to be had, if indeed there has been contact, we will have some big name quality managers falling over each other at an ETFC Managerial Vacancy, but the post is Brads, in my opinion why risk jeopardising that?

Conclusion- Logic says he is staying

Andy- 'The board matches Brads ambitions' ?

That line is nothing more than sensationalism. We are Enfield Town not Roman Abramovic.

We run on what comes in goes out with nothing left at the end of the season, you can't get anymore sensible ambition than that.

I personally want Brad to stay and continue the gradual progression, however Brad is or should be told what the budget is not the other way round,

I think the board will give more to a playing budget if we don't get knocked out in early rounds of the cup/trophy and we hit the ground running attracting with increasing average gates. It's not rocket science but exactly how you want a club/business to run otherwise let's make Entry £15 no concessions and £5 for all U16 kids .

Billericay have a £20k a week budget and finished 8th, we'd go bust

I was responding to Vauxhall man, not making up a comment.

As someone, who until recently, is used to paying £45+ to watch football, £15 to see the Town seems a bargain! Let's do it?

a good idea £2.00 isn't much and also we all could put in a fiver or so to help things along

Quite happy to make a donation, could an option be added to membership? Or could I double my yearly direct debit?
