Further to Charles Webster's list of famous players to have played at Stonebridge Road, Kevin Phillips also did, I believe - for Baldock Town in a Beazer Homes Southern Division match about 10 years ago.

As we used to be Tottenham's 'nursery' side many years ago, how about a match with them. We'll stand a good chance of beating a 1st Division side! <img src="/images/graemlins/icon29.gif" alt="" />

I once had the Honour of talking to Ronnie Burgess ex Spurs player, who said he had many, many fond memories of playing at Stonebridge Road.

Don't forget Damian Richardson. Class act. Used to play for the Republic of Ireland and although he was in the twilight of his career during his time here, I rememember him scoring 4 goals in one game.

I think his four goals ( against Leamington ? ) were his only goals for the Fleet .

Neither the cost of removing and replacing the roof is down to us.
