Please leave Carruthers and was it Hyde alone, we need them at the moment. Thanks for the best wishes and praise for the whites, we always get on well with the Flees and just hate margate, folkestone are ok & the Gills are just class!!!!

There was no effort displayed by a poor second rate fleet side. Evans was playing for a place in the side and was our best player. Shearer wasn't great but certainly not as bad as gradley who has secured his place on the subs bench for the next three to four years.

I cannot believe that it cost me £10 to see that shower of sh*te.I am thoroughly deflated.Dover outclassed us pure and simple.Shame for the youngsters that were playing that our fans turned against the team, not exactly confidence building.

Abbey, what can you say... other than useless, again.

I can agree with all of that. I did get a tad annoyed at the cheering for Dover. Fair enough as a joke but after the first few times it stopped being a joke. Ben Abbey wasnt too good but has been in the last few conference games and Im annoyed at the bloke who shouted out "Do something Abbey you bag of [***!!***]" Thought that was harsh and out of order! Still i look forward to Saturday and the start of a ghood run in the trophy.

No good singling Abbey out (who apparently played well at Chester as he has done in the last six or so games) as he was no worse than anyone else on the pitch. Walshe, considering he's a professional, wasn't very good and I thought that considering Evans had something to prove, even he was below par.

Still, well done to Dover. We can moan about second-string players, but some of theirs were as well, so good luck to them. And I note they brought about 80% on a Tuesday in a poor competition of what Margate brought on New Year's Day in the league. One team on the Kent coast, there's only one team on the Kent coast...

The dover fans brouht a suprising amount up for a tuesday nite. Bit dissapointed at the performance overall, pinnock unlucky hitting outside of post though, and that was a definate penalty in the 1st half, also abbey should of put it away but good tracking back by the dover defender. Dover did look the better side, especially in the 2nd half. Good luck to them in the next round

Dover fan - it wasnt Hyde in goal - your reserve keeper, and judging by his performance, he'll stay that way for a while - dropped or mispunched almost everything that came in his direction.

Carruthers looked sharp though.

Thought Walshe and Evans were the only 2 of our players who looked even vaguely interested - strange really, when you consider everyone should have been looking to impress to stand a chance of breaking back into the first team.

Mind you, should we not have had a penalty before Dover scored - quite how the ref failed to give the foul on Evans when he was standing 5 yards away is beyond me - if it wasnt a penalty, surely he should have booked Evans for diving?

Other than that though, I think we only had about 3 or 4 efforts on goal and the Dover keeper wasnt forced to save anything other than Walshe's shot which thumped into his midriff.

It was Dave Wietecha in goal. To be fair to him it was his first match for a year due to injury so he might be a bit rusty. It was actually his debut tonight. We signed him from Folkestone last January and he got injured straight away without having played a match.

Lawrence Ball and Danny Welch were making their full debuts tonight too, and two of the subs that came on hadn't played in the first team before.

Carruthers' goals were two quality finishes, but if you'd seen him in the last two matches you might not be so keen on signing him.

Seems that Mr. Shearer, unlike your supporters, has lost his sense of humour, he stuck his fingers up at a fan who made a joke about his drinking.

We were not smiling when we found out how much it was to get in. If I'd had known it was going to cost a tenner for a KSC game between two half-strength teams I would have stayed at home.

Poor show tonite considering most were 1st team squad. AF should seriously consider getting some replacements.

I have no problem supporting the Fleet in every which way but if the game was intended to be treated like a practice/friendly match then the entrance fee should have been likewise. Even so, the 'Git' wouldn't mind a gate like ours tonite for their Conf games!

Impressed with Dover reserves tho, most were youngsters and very sharp up front. Made our experienced lads look average. The 'Beckham' clone looked pretty good, think he'd fit in at the Fleet quite well!

Looking forward to Saturday's game, hopefully the match will be taken a lot more seriously!!

Mooro came off half-time because of a back problem. At least he's got some recovery time before his next game.

It is a shame that someone at the club has not got the gumption or guts to make a token gestutre of reducing the price of admission by a couple of quid for such a match as this. Especially on an all pay night when only hard core supporters are likely to show up anyway. It is just poor pr and when you have paid a tenner to watch such a performance as we put on seconf half it does seem a rip off.

Having said that I thought the Dover finishing was very good and the banter with the keeper was amusing on an otherwise forgetable night.

Although fun i think it was out of order to cheer the Dover players on towards the end and the verbal abuse of Evans when it had gone quiet was a dreadful shame. He quite clearly heard it all and looked very upset.

Mind you one thing that did bug me, was, if you are going to treat it as a friendly then they should NOT have charged us £10 for the privilage, I should get into friendlies free with a season ticket not have to pay a tenner!

Attendance was 425. Proceeds shared with Dover.

I find it odd that the same people who proclaim that the only way forward is to go full-time and that we should look at every avenue to raise more funds are the same ones who then complain that there wasn't a couple of quid knocked off the price. (Changing your log-in name doesn't hide the fact <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> )

Next year just stay at hope and send your £8 to the trust, that way the club will be £3 better off.

I think that people are more annoyed about paying the money to watch what was frankly, a shambles.
If we play like that all the time, then we will definately not be going full time.
I know that it's the KSC but it's still silverware at the end of it and the starting 11 should be able to play better than that.
They let the club down last night in my opinion. We lost fair and square to the better side but it was the lack of fighting spirit that wound me up.
