Our first big scalp of the season after an uneventful first half with both sides coming to terms with plastic the game burst into life in the second half.Bradley Warner scored an excellent solo goal matched by an outstanding goal by George even with the luxury of missing a penalty big 3 points for the Urchins, oh well enough said.

Two absolutely cracking goals - silly handball/penalty to give away but sometimes players just act instinctively . Tight game and certainly Grays had spells of pressure, particularly in the first half. Facilities at Aveley are now excellent , good ground. The pitch itself seemed a little bit lifeless in terms of bounce but it may be a case of bedding the new pitch in (I don't know too much about 3G/4G pitches)

only early days  but nothing wrong with getting the points on the board ,  always better  than giving the other teams a head start ...good crowd for mid week in the holiday season and now roll on the FA Cup
