Harrogate Town AFC are looking to recruit a part-time Player Development Centre (PDC) lead coach who can evidence the following characteristics;

Commitment to the core values of Harrogate Town AFC and its' principles on the development of young players
Reliable and dependable at all times
A 'team player' who will go above and beyond to ensure the PDC continues to evolve and improve
Energetic and forward thinking
Can offer solutions to problems using a logical rationale
Willing to work, and thrives, in high pressure situations
An understanding and appreciation of young players needs, and has a desire and ability to develop these on both a holistic and individual basis
Has an infectious personality, which can integrate into, and enhance, the existing PDC team
Holds a strong desire to continuously improve and develop as a coach
Is passionate about football and in particular, youth development
Responsibilities

Planning and delivery of 2 x structured 60 minute sessions per week (Tues and Thurs PM)
Sessions are expected to be creative and exciting, which in turn engage young players
Ensure that health and safety, and safeguarding requirements are adhered to at all times
The individual development of the young players in a variety of spheres to include technical play, tactical understanding of the game and social education
Responsible for the safety of the young players whilst at the PDC
Track player performance over time and offer regular feedback to all players to aid development
Participate in continuous professional development, both internally and externally, to refine and improve coaching
Experience

Can evidence a track record of working with, and developing, young players at both a grassroots and elite level
Familiar with long term development strategies of young players, and can evidence the incorporation and result of such
Has a knowledge of local grassroots clubs and can work alongside these to develop our community links
Qualifications

Minimum;

1st for Sport Level 2 award in Coaching Football (or equivalent)
Working towards UEFA B licence or ambition to in near future
Member of FA Licenced Coaches Club
FA Emergency Aid Award
FA Safeguarding Children award
Full DBS disclosure
Desirable

UEFA A / UEFA B Licence
FA Youth Award
Pay for this role will be dependent on the candidates qualifications and experience.
