FF News Posted October 20, 2017 Share Posted October 20, 2017 Sydenhams Wessex Premier high-fliers Lymington Town could face sanctions after allegedly fielding an ineligible player. The Hampshire FA confirmed charges had been issued regarding Zak Pickett's involvement in Lymington's 2-1 win over table-topping Blackfield & Langley earlier this month, writes Neil Perrett. Pickett condemned the Watersiders to a first league defeat of the season when he netted the decisive second goal at the Sports Ground. However, the former Romsey Town defender had been sent off after receiving a straight red card in Lymington's 3-2 defeat at Sholing seven days previously. Rules – implemented by the Wessex League at the start of this season – state all suspensions will start seven days from the date of the offence. Previously, bans had kicked in after 14 days.
