Good news in terms of our availability. With a weeks notice most of our players should get the time off. We may get a few more fans down there as well.

According to confguide, Leigh's replay with Stalybridge has also been called off, because the FA are investigating claims that Leigh fielded an ineligible player in the first match.

Any truth in the rumour that the game has been called off so that Andy Ford can get his new side together by next week?? Obviously we need one or two new players notably at full back and another striker, but surely wholesale changes aren't necessary. Four Conference games unbeaten, compared to Brazil by Margate supporters who couldn't understand why we were anywhere near the relegation zone, and a draw at Top of the Table Chester. Admittedly the second half was very poor, but I thought the Managers' reaction was over the top. Opening half a dozen games apart when he was getting his team together the players have done pretty well for him, and let's not forget the Cup run. Tinkering maybe, but IMO we've the nucleus of a very good side

I was speaking to Skins before Saturday's game and he was hoping to play a reserve game this week if one was scheduled. He could now come into the reckoning next week.

Hopefully Skins will be back soon at left back but with Abbey injured just when he was finding some form we look very light up front.
We have had some very good away draws this season but unfortunately you don't climb far up the table with draws, if we want to get away from the relegation battle we need some wins and if we want to attract bigger crowds we need some home wins.
We currently have too many players who can play in the first team and not enough who can't be left out.

According to confguide, Barnet might be thrown out of the Trophy as well as Leigh - they also had an ineligible player, apparently, who played for Aylesbury in the first round and so should have been cup-tied.

The 20,000th post on the General Forum - hooray
