Daylight robbery. Okay, it was evening, but you get the drift.

Pretty sure we won't drop points to an uglier team all season. On a heavy pitch, Egham were content to play hoofball, launching it from the back for their forwards to chase, and persistently foul at headers - the old 'forearm across the neck when jumping' trick - which the ref only cottoned on to near the end of the game and the linos let go all match. The worst culprit of non-football was Egham's right back captain, who didn't hit a single 'pass' less than forty yards all game.

We took the first 15 minutes to adjust to proceedings, but deservedly went ahead on the stroke of half time when Dan launched a 20 yard pearler into the top corner but, despite all our neat passing moves, we weren't clinical enough and 1-0 was always a nervy lead. Sure enough, we gifted Egham an early and inappropriate Christmas present when they nicked a 93rd minute equaliser following a corner.

Not one Ashford player had a bad match and everyone stuck to it in trying circumstances, but special mention for James who held the line superbly and young Elliott, who had a great game and showed Egham's captain how a right back is meant to play football.

Don,t  no what game you went to mate your Keeper is a knobhead who i thought was going to burst out crying when we scored and you had more bookings than us if you don,t score more than one goal you are asking for it. Thanks for the Four points this season Merry Xxmas
