Tamworth boss Morrell holding out for the rain

Tamworth FC boss Andy Morrell admits the freezing conditions have left him frustrated as the Lambs look to build some momentum heading into the Christmas programme.

Saturday's trip to Bradford Park Avenue was called off due to the wintry conditions.

The clash at the Horsfall Stadium has been rearranged for this weekend but could still be in doubt as snow and ice continues to clear.

Morrell said: "Looking at the snow on the Bradford pitch, it was never going to be on last weekend. They left it as long as they could but the conditions were awful.

"We are frustrated not to be able to get back out there on the pitch because we want to get some momentum going.

"And we also don't want to start getting a fixture backlog when you end up with long trips on a Tuesday night.

"Hopefully we can get the game on again this weekend but I would imagine that, at the moment, there's still a bit of a question mark hanging over it.

"We just have to keep our fingers crossed for some rain and then hope that it clears the snow away and doesn't freeze too much."
