Dover man Pinnock wants the goals to rain down

Mitch Pinnock believes he is playing the best football of his young career so far after scoring twice in Dover's 4-0 win over Hartlepool.

Pinnock has been a first-team regular under Chris Kinnear this season after spending most of the 2016/17 campaign on the bench.

The 23-year-old wants to use this as a platform to kick on for the second half of the season and bring in more goals for the club.

He said: "I've got a few assists this season and hadn't been scoring so much so I was delighted to score.

"It's good to be out there rather than watching for the last couple of years and just give it my all every game. I'm the fittest I've ever been and I'm hoping I can carry on and help the team win games.

"I wanted 10 goals and 10 assists at the start of the season. I think I've got eight assists but only three goals, so I've got to up that in the second half of the season."
