FF News
Kidderminster Harriers are working with local organisations to spread some festive cheer to those who may be a little less fortunate this Christmas. In partnership with United Churches of Kidderminster, Comberton Hill Tesco and the Jubilee Church, in Hoo Road, Harriers will host some special guests on Christmas Day - providing food, warmth and entertainment. The group have worked with the local authorities to identify individuals who are either homeless, isolated or may suffer with loneliness, particularly at this time of year. A string of volunteers have helped organise the event and will be present on December 25, to help serve food at Jubilee Church, while also transporting them to and from the gathering. Kidderminster Harriers Football Club have been keen to play a big role in the event, as it continues to provide a full service to its local community - both on and off the field. Dave Mole, who has overseen the club's involvement in the event, said: "There are members of our community who find that they aren't able to look forward to Christmas and for whom it isn't a happy time at all. "We want to help do something that changes that, even if it's just a small amount. "We have joined some great local organisations to help provide a warm meal on Christmas Day and, perhaps just as importantly, some company for people who otherwise would spend the day alone."
