Enfield vs Worthing

I’m in the car being driven home, so thought I’d put my view on now, I’m going to stay positive on this review. So, big crowd (over 800) and we’ve done well to get a draw (obviously would have liked a win) but it could have quiet easily been a loss. Sam had a great game for me today and I’m not taking away anything from his goal in the 80 something minute because he did the job, but for me, that goal belongs to Jack Hockney who got the assist (he came on at the 80th minute) My God, the pass he produced was superb, technically and skilfully the best thing I’ve seen all season and what I believe we have all been crying out for all season. If Andy hadn’t made the decision to bring him on, we could quite easily have lost that game. I wish he had been brought on a lot earlier (or even started), if he’d played like that throughout the game, I believe we could have won.

So all in all, well done lads, well done Andy and well done Sam and Jack

Many thanks to Castorman for holding the fort this afternoon.  I am almost thawed out now, having been home for around 45mins.   Great to have seen so many Towners at Worthing.  I have to confess that the cold weather got the better of me and I headed for the car before the final whistle, so missed our equalising goal.  Does anyone know if we had extra traning on our new pitch to prepare us for Worthing's artificial playing surface?

Thanks for the updates today Castorman.I have seen Jack Hockney play several times this season and have been very impressed with his performances,I would love to see him get more game time.

Great result today well done to all.

Good to see so many Town supporters down here on the South Coast, on a bitterly cold afternoon, to witness our guys twice come from behind, to deservedly share the points in an exciting match, against an impressive in-form Worthing side. The Rebels played with plenty of conviction on their 3G artificial playing surface, and it took Town time to adapt, but Andy and the team are to be congratulated on a fine, battling display, which means we are now on a seven-match unbeaten run, with only one defeat in the last nine games.

It is the first time I have seen Jack Hockney play, and I fully agree with Castorman and 72wembleyfinal comments. Hopefully, we will see a lot more of this talented young guy.

Basically we had two chances one in each half and took them.

Showed great spirit to come back twice and i made joe mom again although sam played very well.

Jack Hockney played very well deserves a start for sure.

Great appreciation by players managment and coach at the final whistle and getting soaked with beer as the equalizer hit the back of the net made it all worth while.

Amazing noisy support from the travelling Towners.??

I think that you are being a trifle unfair there Vauxhallman. I thought we played well held them for the most part and took our goals well. Again for the first quarter of an hour or so there was only one team likely to score. What was good is that we did not give up. I believe that earlier in the season heads would have gone down having fallen behind and we would have got walloped (Folkestone). It is good that now the team plays for the full 90 minutes.
