Goal drought over but just about

If you was at the Bridge today you will know it was an underwhelming Urchin performance and the game was heading for an aimless nil nil until our boy George hit a trademark wonder goal and we are still top of the league

That goal bailed us out today - unstoppable. Think we are going to have to get used to teams raising their game against us for on now until the end of the season. We need to impose ourselves on teams and keep grinding out results. Bowers losing helped but we’ve got to do it ourselves. In very good shape on the league . Great result today 3 points is all that matters

Some times you have to win ugly.

We have great players on the team and some times it just doesn't work.

What I saw today was an improvement from the Barking game, but just lacked the end product.

Teams will come to us and up their game as we are top and they need points just as much as we want to stay top and extend out lead.

On to Romford mid week. Who No doubt will put 11 men behind the ball. Maybe we should all be 12th man and get behind the team and help them get 3 points.

15 to go. Up the Urchins!!

Maybe it didn't' quite work today, but the reaction from the players to George's goal and the final whistle says it all. The players want to win this league as much as the fans do and what was noticeable today was when the fans started singing in the second half the players started to believe and the team got the result. We all need to keep cheering the side on keep encouraging our players and keep on believing its a game by game process and we all need to get involved and stop looking at everyone else's results. Come on you urchins!!!

The team outplayed the opposition but I think it was a case of nerves on the finish but what can you say about the goal a Purcell special great goal good result confidence now 100% . Only one more midweek match then it's Saturday's all the way.

urchins not at their best looked like we had another barking  when i thought norwich had scored after everyone seemed to switch off,  the weather didnt help but when George is about there is always hope :-) it may just  be a goal that gets more than just 3 points as it hopefully lift the team up  now with the 2 away games to come

good to see 200 through the gate again , what with orient at home and daggers doing their special price game of £2.50 for adults as well plus norwich didnt bring any fans with them hopefully the home games v canvey and bowers will go past the 300
