And people slamming their brakes on because they know where the cameras are can cause accidents as well

That's right...speeding doesn't kill. It's coming to a sudden Full Stop where the danger lies!!!

Must tell you this...
I worked with an "old timer" and we were some 100 feet up in the air on a precarious scaffold.
He said "Don't worry mate, about falling...it's only the last inch that kills you".

I think if cameras are to be used, instead of for speeding, why not on Junctions to stop the red light jumpers?

It always makes me laugh when they interview people about speed cameras and they say they should be bright colours so that you can see them and they get really angry when they are even partially hidden. DON’T BLOOD SPEED THEN!!! It wouldn’t be a problem if you did break the law! I think they should make all cameras invisible and remove the warning signs as well. If you want to do 50 in a 30 zone, you take the risk and you should pay the price!

Unfortunately, many people these days want rights without responsibility. They want the right to drive their car, but are not willing to accept any responsibility for doing so. Therefore, it isn't their fault they were speeding, as they hadn't been reminded to check their speed every minute or so by brightly coloured speed cameras. Idiots.

Your right about people shunning responsibilty.

But a lot of people have found the location of some Speed Camera's strange to say the least.

I don't think its a attack on Camera's on a whole, just where some are located.

I agree that some cameras appear to be located purely to raise funds, but does that mean that they should be removed? This is where I'm not so sure to be honest.
