I guess it's about time I headed over to Lewes for this afternoon's match, especially if I want to down a pint, or so, before the game.

I hope the team find their shooting boots, which they seemed to have left here in Sussex after the Burgess hill match!!!!!!

Looking forward to seeing as many of you a possible at the Dripping Paan shortly.

Just got back from Hols. After seeing our FA Cup result I was a bit down, and like me, for the first 81 minutes today, it must also have been a real downer for those who travelled to Sussex. But what an impact Billy Bricknell made!!!! Can't wait to see him fully match fit. He certainly knows how to make an entrance.

Also it seems results went for us to day and even if it is early in the season I am pleased to see that at present we are second in the league.

If this continues I'm going to have little to say this year, which will be a nice change.

Very pleased with the result, good that we came back from what looked like dead and buried, but the overall performance level was poor again. Pleasing that Billy Bricknell did immediately what we signed him for - two quality goals. Lewes will have thought they should have won it.

2nd in the league is amazing - not sure how!

Anybody have a view on the Sam Hutton sending off? Would like to see it again but my initial reaction was that the referee got it wrong and it was the Lewes No 4 that was lucky not to walk. One of their fans was insistent Sam had stamped on their player. Online

comment I've seen afterwards said there was no stamp but that he'd kicked their player in the stomach! I didn't see either of those....Rather soured what had been a good day at a friendly club. Glad to hear that the young Lewes lad who was carried off after the lengthy delay is not seriously hurt.

There are match highlights on the Lewes twitter feed.
