It amazes me the smugness of some GNFC supporters, as Stonebridge Road is owned by what used to be Blue Circle(not sure what it is called now). If they decided to sell the ground, the Fleet would be up Ebbsfleet Creek without a paddle. So maybe crowing before the dawn is not a wise thing!

Actually it's not owned by Blue Circle or LaFarge (The company that took them over)

Additionally we have a clause in our lease that should the landlords want the land they will have to provide us with a ground of whatever standard we are playing at at the time.

I believe its Land Securities.

Gravesham has changed a lot in recent times, and there are one or two locations on which a new ground could be built (and which I am sure are already being looked at by the club, given the comment in the programme on Saturday that the next Board Meeting would include an item on "Ground Developments")

Dear Cookie......

Yes...Gravesend is still in Kent and long may it remain so !!
Any advance from Red Ken to annex this great town to his sprawling suburbs of London will be fought to the death !!

'GREAT TOWN'? Gravesend, or Gravesham, for that matter, is a cesspool. Yes, I live in Gravesend and always have. The only thing to be proud of is our football team and the nice Chinese down the High Street!!!

I'm aware that at least one local councillor has actively been researching possible sites should relocation be required and/or desired. This is not an indication of any pending move, just research. In fact, I think it's been mentioned in the Reporter and a matchday programme so there's no secrecy. Possibilities include the new Ebbsfleet Station area and the old power station (I think) opposite Kimberley Clarke.

And indeed it is Land Securities, Alan.....soon to be Gladwish!!!!!!!!!!!!! Along with the rest the south-east!!!

Thank you Allen for clearing that up. Being over here, the news doesn't travel. Thats why i joined the forum. I just get mad at smug people who delight in other clubs troubles. Northfleet have been in financial trouble in the past, and i hope never go there again. The present board seem to have their heads screwed on the right way in not throwing money away.
