FA Vase and Trophy finals

I am disappointed that this years finals are at Villa Park again, last years were hardly a great success attendance wise! With Wembley out of action surely Highbury, White Hart Lane or Stamford Bridge should be used and before I am accused of a southern bias I have spoken to fans from the north who would rather travel to London than Birmingham. And the finals are being held on succesive days why not have both on the same day? One could start at 3pm the second at 6pm and lets have no repeat of the crazy 12noon kick off the Trophy final had last season.

I know there is a stigma about Birmingham as a place not a football team etc, But as a Canvey supporter that did travel for the game and staid over the weekend down Broad Street this area does also have a lot to look forward too. Oh yeh and also the atmosphere was quite a success down our end of the goal. I must agree on one point lets make it a later kick off as I know a lot of our supporters would have been suffering from a Hang over and I would asume the Forest Green would have the same problem.
Villa is a nice ground and it seems nicely situated for everybody, I hope we as Canvey can get there again but I still would prefer to get into the confererence.

At the same ground Colin, the FA are trying to promote these finals as some sort of fans festival of football but unless you live on the doorstep of Villa Park, or where ever else it might be held, it would be rather expensive for fans to travel two days running or fork out for overnight accomodation. This idea had been suggested before for Wembley and I'd say its worth a try, non league fans are generally very well behaved and I can't see any problem with four sets of fans in a sparsley filled ground. I'm sure most fans would not mind paying a bit more for a 'double header'.
