Can someone please explain to me the point of segregation? Take today’s game against Stevenage. The pub up the road from the ground was packed with their supporters. We walked in chatted with them and cheered on Scarborough in their cup game. It was all friendly and good-natured.

Yet, apparently, when we walk through the gates of the ground we are going to kill each other! I have never seen any trouble at Stonebridge Road, but there clubs in the conference that have particular problems with their supporters???

P.S. I have never seen a copper in the pub keeping an eye on things before a game either!

Were there any coppers about today - can't recall seeing any.

Yet last week when Halifax brought 1 man & a dog they were outnumbered by the boys in blue!

Kent Police have strange ways of deciding on segregation & policing.

Thats a fair point, but I think segregation does need to be in place for most games, unless a) there are few away fans or B) we are playing morecambe. I think the problem is you never know what is going to happen, so to be safe the club have segregation

Shouldn't segregation also be introduced in the pub and in the car park too?

Seriously though I agree it is totally unneccasary, a non league tradition is too change ends at half time, start treating fans like hooligans and they'll start acting accordingly!

There is no segregation in the seating stand we get them all in, and not even a steward to control them.

Why not fence off just part of the away end for segregation leaving a gate for those not so big games, and on the bigger games the home support can get closer to create that bantering atmosphere, it works very well at burton albion.Or is the club to tight to spend on fencing , instead of keep using that awfull red and white tape.

At least the rival fans can't throw the tape at one another and cause injuries <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
