Lifted from the non-league paper:
CONFERENCE BOOST - 25/04/2002
Nationwide Conference clubs look set to get two promotion places from next season.
The prospect of increased promotion - which would see two clubs relegated from the Football League - moved a step closer after a five-year funding package for the proposal was agreed in principle by Third Division clubs.
The £6m package from the Football Association has been given unanimous backing but financial details are yet to be finalised.
All 72 Football League members will still have to vote on the plans at their Annual General Meeting in June.
Football League chief executive David Burns said: "Thanks to the hard work of the boards of the Football League and Football Association a package which should satisfy all Third Division clubs has now been secured.
"We should be able to move ahead with this plan. This proposal is clearly in the best interests of our national game."
This sounds to me like good news for everybody in the non-league game if it goes ahead.
