Is the Ryman Results page correct, 8-0 at Thame? If it is, surely the time must have come to jack it all in. Can't be fun for anyone, players, fans or officials. Tradition and history count for absolutely nothing, if EFC was a racehorse it would have been put out of its misery a long time ago. I know I'll now get the usual abuse and advice to keep out of EFC matters, but this really isn't funny any more, its tragic.

I can`t get any enjoyment out of seeing the results of constant thrashings after having been an enfield fan for so long but boy am I glad I no longer pay to see a club which is a pale shadow of what it was.I just now feel very sorry for those few who are working so hard to keep the club alive.

When jumping up and down with sheer joy at winning the conference and then the F.A trophy..etc...Would you have believed someone,if they had said:

'' In 2004 you will be in the relegation zone of the 'Ryman Div1 north' and you will lose 0-8 to a team called Thame Utd.

The past great players of the club, the great managers and the thousand upon thousands of supporters that have follwed Enfield Football Club over the last hundred years deserve better than have there name dragged through the mud and humiliated.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH !!

It must be said that it's pretty sad that nearly two days after my original posting, the only comments have been from ETFC supporters. Are things that bad at EFC?

Nope... but that ground has been covered so many times before that it's just ignored now.

It may have been covered 'so many times before', but I'm sure that even you will agree that things are far worse than they were only a month ago. Just look at the results, and the nature of them.

Let's be clear, as we all look the other way, that ETFC have offered to have discussions with EFC, and as far as I'm aware EFC have ignored that offer.

Now I don't know any more than that; but it could have involved some players going over on loan to help out, it could have been an offer to help/advise... but as it was ignored then, there is nothing more that can be done.

Not sure about lending them players (I asume you mean that way round!). If any of our players are good enough for Ryman 1 then I want them playing in our team!

Not too sure about help or advice either. We're a bit busy with our own club.

But if, as Chairman Dave intimated in his programme notes last week, an offer of exploratory talks was made, then the least they could do would to be respond, if only with a polite no thank you. Simple courtesy is one measure of a well-run club, in my opinion.

My point was that there's no point in wailing about every EFC defeat on this forum. They've obviously abandoned the forum. Let's worry about our club and leave EFC in peace.
