Obviously, I'll say Enfield Town on both counts, although I have my eye on Bowers United - currently the only team able to catch us on games in hand. I shall do my best to be there on the 27th.

Well I know for a fact u fellas have the second biggest wage bill in the league behind Leyton. All you need is a dominant centre half and its all yours.
cheers images/icons/grin.gif" border="0

It's nice to see all those predictions for Enfield Town. I haven't seen any league or league cup matches yet, but we only just scraped into the top spot in group A of the league cup, and we can't afford many slip-ups in the league. Also, judging by the goals against, the defence still seems to have some problems. Even if we're favourites for both competitions, there are quite a few other teams that could win one or the other.

Colin, I've only made it to about 5 games this season, but it seems that we give away soft goals. If we're going to take a team apart, we do it, but they'll pounce on a loose ball and slot it home when we have to beaver away with seven or eight shots to get a goal. Still, I stand by my erlier prediction, and not just because I support ETFC - I reckon we've got the best potential in the league, it's a matter of turning it into reality.

At present, we must feel confident of winning the league and at least 2 of the 4 cup competitions we are in.
I personally have been most impressed my Southend Manor and Concord but I haven't seen Bowers yet.
THM

How have the fans of Enfield seperated Badger? Have many made the switch? What is the exact split i.e. players, managment?

GlenEck, to get the full details, you'd be best off talking to someone like TGTLS Neil - he's usually hanging around the forum at www.enfieldtownfootballclub.co.uk
I didn't make it to many of the EFC games in the season before the split, so can't say how many of last years regulars have come over, but there are a few faces I recognise. Fanwise, ETFC home gates average at about 330, EFC at about 100, so that should give you an idea of the split.

In the last few seasons at Southbury Road our old ground i think it was nearer 500-600. Last season at Boreham Wood we were getting 150-200. Now ETFC are getting 330 and EFC 100. I'll leave you to work out where everybodies gone. What I will say is that all my friends that I have stood with for 20 years now follow ETFC.
THM

I think that Enfield playing in Enfield is a big advantage. As a Canvey fan I have seen Enfield play 'at home' to us at St. Albans & Borehamwood, and on each of these occasions there was no atmosphere. I don't know whether this was just our game or what. It is obviously going to attract fans if the ground is in their area, just look at the problems Wimbledon face if they move to Milton Keynes. Looking at your results, how did Concord beat you 4-1? Concord are quite a good team, but I expected you to give them a hiding.

I have now added a mini-poll to the Come on you ETs website, so that you can all vote who you think will win the Foresters Essex Senior League championship.

Have anyone's predictions changed following the Leyton v Enfield Town match. By all accounts, Leyton certainly have an energetic chairman!
The poll is still up on the Come on you ETs site.

No. I still think we'll win it although there's a long way to go. A lot of our rivals will probably beat or draw with each other and are prone to hiccups. We are as well of course, and every game is a cup final for us, to coin a cliche, but this can just as well strengthen us.
As someone said on Saturday (I think his name is Dave) Southend Manor are a strong team to watch, I fancy them more than Leyton.

Morning to u all
Sry Mr Invisible man......Southend manore might finish in the top 5 but not in the top 2.
I have played and watched them over the last 3 years and they are not the side they was last year.
They are normally strong at home but even at this stage have last a couple already.
Nope.....Believe me its a two horse race between ETFC & Leyton
Cheers

So you don't rate Bowers, then? Is their early form just a passing phase?
Actually, if it is a two horse race, we're relying on other temas to help us out, as we've played both our games.
