Anyway about these burgers. Anyone who still has to come to Hitchin - don't hold your breath, positively the worst burgers in the division.
As for the best: I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Hampton.
My top 3: 1. Hampton, 2. Grays, 3. Braintree
My worst 3: 1. Hitchin 2. Croydon 3. Billericay
The worst three are also the three where I've had to queue longest to buy my burger!

The burgers at Canvey today were brill pity they sold out by half time, still not used to a big away following I suppose.Beer was nice in the bar afterwards to tasted like champagne as I wathed Canvey fans swilling theirs down with large ammounts of sour grapes. You were so lucky. UP THE EAGLES.

Couldn't agree more with Chris about the burgers at our place, definately the worst I've had in many a long year. Which coincidentally is about how long you have to queue to actually buy one of the wretched things !
My vote for best burger goes to Boreham Wood/Enfield, we've played there 5 times this season and the food's been great every time !

what is this obsession with food?.. everyone knows food lessens the effect of beer and is therefore the enemy of fun!

The best is still the mighty Fleetburger. This year it is confined to the specials list and only rolled out for teams that appreciate good food (or is it those with a small away following).

when the FA did the tests a few years back, they found that Orient had the worst burgers in the league. As an orient fan i believe this to be un true, although i have to admit i've never tasted one of them.

The Fat Fryer was a legend at Brisbane Road.
They had the hottest mustard in the league so you couldn't taste the acts of wanton evil he served up.

Farmie you are spot on. The LOFC tea was a shocker as well, even though you made most it yourself! I have to say the food was appalling, but only on a par with the Westlers Trolley found outside most self-respecting Clubs grounds in the 70's. You know the ones, with the burgers and sausages floating in that greased up hot water vat on wheels. Stale bun, tomatoe sauce that put Sarsons Vinegar to shame and re-constituted dried onion bits. Yum.

The burger I had at Gravesend last night was pretty good although it was a bit dry and cost £2.00!
Their Fleet burger looked good though and was worth £3.50.
Matt CIFC.

The worst cup of tea ever was at white hart lane - PG granules and lukewarm water. The best food I've ever tasted at a footie ground was in the directors box a upton park. Honeyed sausages - yummie images/icons/wink.gif" border="0 images/icons/tongue.gif" border="0 images/icons/wink.gif" border="0

The worst corporate food has to be the 'Box' service at White Hart lane. The full dinner is a disgrace...(about £60 a head)... and always cold, soggy and unidentifiable. Shocking value. The cheese board is an extra as well! The buffet service to the boxes is better, but still highly priced. The bubble will burst one day for the Clubs that think it is good business to fleece their corporate clients. How they can justify such poor quality quite frankly beggars belief.

Corporate clients derserve inedible and unidentifiable food. Football grounds should be the reserve of the honest working man who genuinely supports his club and truly appreciates bad food.

You are having a laugh aren't you. I do get the occasional invitation from a supplier to their box at White Hart Lane and the food has always been superb when I've been.

In answer to the other person slagging off corporate hospitality may I add that whilst apporx only 10% of attendees at a Premier game are corporate guests they actually contribute considerably more than 10% in revenue, thus allowing the club to spend money on better players with bigger wages.........just like that pratt Acimovic (oops, looks like my argument sort of cocked up there).
