You could always walk to the station like me. No need to worry about buses or traffic.
P.S. What has all this travelling to do with the original theme about how many more points we need to win the title?

so the new college is due to open in 2005 is there a website for it?

Sorry Canv, I meant next Academic Year, the first building opens August 2004, (the part they're building right now). Then they will demolish the old Odeon Cinema and build the second building on that site. Then demolish both the current London Rd. & Carnarvon Rd. College buildings to make way for flats.

There are some artist impressions of the new College building(s) at - www.southend.ac.uk/sites/new-campus/briefing-paper/briefing.html

What a bloody fascinating thread to find on the Canvey Island discussion board. Sod me, you'll all be exchanging knitting patterns next. Canvey are 23 points clear at the top of the table and you lot are discussing whether it's better to walk to the station or take the bus.

Bet the official site wishes they had a board as interesting as this one. Ian, can you close this thread down please before I give up the will to live.

now now merv.. despite being 23 points clear you refuse to get involved till we reach 106 points .. or untill hornchurch play another league game.. (i think they have one scheduled for april) lose and reduce the total required..
the college is an intresting subject as it is one of the key points of turning the area into a super town..along with the airport and 2 league clubs.. it will be like bristol but richer..
seasider.. yes just got back.. money markets..? you may think that but i cant possibly comment.. ;-)
cant hang around around, got an appointment with a pint at 4.25 pm this networking is a killer

Fair comment Canv. I obviously can't beat you, so I'd better join you.

Now, if any of you would like a good recipe for shepherds pie, I found an excellent one here. You must try it.

On a different tack, if you would like to knit a nice pair of slipper boots - click here.

Let's really develop this thread. Shall I start a poll, "What's your favourite building in Victoria Avenue?" Why not an agony aunt/unlce. Yes... the Canvey Island Discussion Board Agony Uncle Ian.

Forget this football nonsense. Don't let footy clutter our pages. Change the name from Non-League Forums to My Weekly Forums.

PLEASE SOMEBODY SHOOT ME BEFORE I GO TOTALLY BONKERS

Well now you have started it Merv - How many Stitches do think would be needed to knit a Gulls scarf? Do you knit first or Pearl? How long should it be and how many balls of each colour? What size needles? Do you start with Blue or Yellow first?
